Few can lay claim to the same interesting geographical roots as Chris Jones, aka These Brittle Bones. A Welsh musician hailing from Swansea who now calls Singapore his home, where he laid down this two-and-a-bit track EP from the comfort of his very own bedroom. Haunting, melancholy and decidedly eerie this is a release that in the right circumstances is extremely enjoyable. Each track carries an uncomfortable feel that wouldn’t be out of place behind a scene in a chilling supernatural horror film, especially Ghosts and Underwater which are instrumental pieces. A solid and engaging effort with the only real negative being in the release’s all too brief running time. JS
