A new music venue is set to open in Newport at the end of the month, and is owned by the family of the late John Sicolo.
Located in the heart of the city on Stow Hill, 200 Club Newport will host live music and club nights, as well as stand up comedy.
Described by owners as “fit for everyone’s taste[s],” the new venue will open its doors on Friday 29 June as it hosts DJ Jazzy B plus special guests at its launch party.
The emergence of 200 Club comes just months after the iconic TJs was put under the hammer by family members following the passing of founder John Sicolo. The legendary venue, famed for its live shows and attracting world famous names, was a staple figure on the Welsh music scene before closing in 2010 after the much-loved owner passed away.
The Sicolo family now pick up proceedings with a new entertainment hotspot, which already boasts a busy schedule through to August.
More to follow.
