We here at The Miniature Music Press are excited to reveal that we’re embarking on a new project to produce a new database of information to help benefit and develop the Welsh music scene.
The Wales Music Directory will be the most up to date and reliable online resource where you can go to access information and contact details for all things relevant to music in Wales. Think bands, record labels, recording studios and venues – all under one roof.
Everything will be arranged in easy to follow, easily accessible categories that enable you to refine just who and what it is you’re after. If you’re a band looking for a place to record some new tracks and then showcase in front of a crowd, our Miniature Music Directory can help you find place to do that.
Falling under our Directory will be a Band A-Z – an online directory where you will be able to get contact and biographic information of an array of musicians from throughout Wales. If you’re a venue looking for an act to keep drawing in the punters, again, our Miniature Music Directory can help you do that.
Now, this is where you come in.
We need you (bands, record label owners, venue managers and everyone else detailed above) to send us your information so we can begin to collate and add to our Directory.

This sounds like a superb idea. How about making the directory a wiki? Trust me, this will make it much more sustainable in the long run as you can open it up to help from outside. It works for Wikipedia.

This is the 'Yellow Pages' of all the blogs in the Welsh language on the web.
This would have been much more difficult if I'd centralised the info gathering and editing.
