Scritti Politti, Anna Calvi and Cate Le Bon are all set to play the first-ever Busk on the Usk Festival at the end of the month.
The free, one-day festival forms part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and will take place throughout Newport across a number of locations including The Riverfront Theatre, University of Wales Newport and pop-up venues along the Usk.
Other acts on the bill include Fist of the First Man, Zervas & Pepper, Jon Langford and Dirty Goods.
As well as live music, there will also be literature readings, spoken-word, seminars, street theatre and food events.
The content of the festival has been programmed by some of Wales’ leading music and arts groups, including Green Man Festival, Swn Festival, the Do Lectures the Bevan Foundation and Arts Council Wales. The event is also set to be broadcast online through Domino Radio and a live video stream.
