Enter the Soundtrack Mini-Music Doc Award

Wednesday 25th July 2012

In association with Cardiff’s Sŵn Festival and the London Short Film Festival, the Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival have announced the launch of their Soundtrack Mini-Music Doc Award.

This short form music documentary competition will result in a shortlist to be screened at all three events, with an eventual winner receiving a prize of £500. Entries should be under 30 minutes long with a focus on any aspect of music culture – be it a band, artist, venue, record label, album, song or genre.

The Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival was established in Cardiff in 2008, with the explicit aim to celebrate the relationship between music and the moving image. The annual event (excluding a year off in 2010) has seen contributions from a variety of ensembles and figures, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Gruff Rhys, Danny Boyle and Don Letts.

The closing date for submissions is 1st October 2012. For more information visit the Soundtrack website.
